100 acre reservoir in beautiful surrounding, adjacent to Bradgate Park ( deer ) in Charwood Forest and three miles north of Leicester. The reservoir has been a trout fishery since it was built in 1880. Registered as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI ) thanks to the unusual plants present in the draw down zone and the water fowl that frequent it. 

The fishing is run by Cropston Angling on a season ticket basis with both bank and boat fishing being available. The reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout averaging 1.5 lb and there are also wild brown trout. The season runs from 1st. April till October 31st with pike fishing available for members in winter. It is a private site with no other boating activities.
